JUST STUFF...NOT ENOUGH TIME TO POST..SOME SERIOUS CATCHING UP HAS TO BE DONE...NOTE THE BIRTHDAY CAKE THAT SAYS ALLEN....I'M ASHAMED TO SAY WAS NOT MADE BY ME...WITH ALL THE BAKING I DO..I DIDN'T HAVE ENOUGH TIME TO MAKE MY GRANDSONS..BIRTHDAY CAKE..BUT I DID MAKE A MEAN GALLETTE..!!!!

Jack's 50th

Jacks Birthday cake...Jack is a big big fan of Buddy,,aka Cake Boss...I really really tried to come up with a Buddy cake..but I was requested to make a cassata cake...which as you can see was done...we were at dinner not that long ago and were trying to get out of Jack what would be his ideal Buddy cake...and Jack being a huge fan of A Christmas Story.. chose to have his ideal BUDDY cake be that of him decorating a christmas tree with lights..well as you can see I tried to get the lights to get at least part of his dream cake...I know it tasted really good..as they all said...funny twist to this was ..when Aunt Franci walked in she said OHH you got the cake from Patsy's ??? which was such a huge compliment to me..Patsy's is one of the best italian bakery on Long Island !!!! so I guess I passed the test..it wasnt A Buddy Valastro masterpiece..but I'm the only CAKE BOSS YOU ALL HAVE !!!!

Anniversary Cupcakes

These cupcakes were made for a very special friend...unfortunatly about a month after this wonderful celebration of love and family...her mom passed...she took sick about a week after the party ..and was in the hospital for a month before she passed last week..RIP and god bless all my friends at Cafe Spiga...and the Giordano Family !!!

Ricotta Cookies

I have been trying to perfect the ricotta cookie recipe for a while now..they are either to soft, or to hard or too flat or too wet or too dry..but believe it or not last month in I think It was a Family Cirlce or Womans Day magazine I go the recipe and made them and they were pretty good...actually really very good..but I of course had to mess with it..they were a wee bit dry for my taste so I increased the ricotta by a half cup and I think that they came out just about perfect..next time gonna do something different with the icing..maybe thinner and not as white..more like a glaze..but they were delish anyway...everytime it snows and god knows we have had our share ..I bake and bake..there is nothing more comforting than the snow falling while the fire is burning and the smell of cookies in the oven filling the house...warms the heart and soothes the soul !!!!!

Valentine Day 2010 Cupcakes

Didn't do too much today as far as baking..but couldn't let the V-day go without at least a few cupcakes..!!!!

Princess Party Cookies

These cookies were made for Amelia's First Birthday....I got the order on a thurs and they were baked and decorated and delivered by friday evening....wowoooo...that was a fast order....like it though kept me busy..and they came out reall good too..

Today was Allens 12th Birthday...we celebrated at home with us and Patrice, Nick and Gigi...Allen had requested for his Birthday dinner....Penne ala Vodka, and chicken marsala..(nice request for a 12 yo...a budding epicurean : ) to say the least)..I love this kid ...soo much...he is the heart of my heart and the butter on my bisuit....and no words can describe the feeling and love I hold in my heart for him....he is my life!!!! I hope he had a wonderful birthday..I know he was sad at the end..he is a sensitive kid...and he holds things in..but I know him like a book..when he read the card from Patrice and Phil and it said love Uncle Phil, Aunt Patrice, Philip and Nick...I saw him cringe..he didnt say a word then..but when they left..he cried and cried and I cried and cried...I know how much he loved Hope..and how he thinks bout her all the time..like myself......and I guess the reality of not seeing her name on card..hit home...I think bout her a hundred times a day...I hope she knows how much she was loved..Allen went to bed crying for Hope...I told him she is always around him and is watching over him every minute of every day..and is his guardian angel....my heart broke for him....I know he will never forget or never stop loving her...for his whole life....she was such an intergral part of our lives....its almost impossible to still believe she isnt here.....a part of all of our hearts are broken...Happy Birthday Allen..MEMA loves you more than anything or anybody..and Hope is looking down and watching over you..!!! Don't ever forget that....she loves you and always will !!!!

Made this for Patti Antz's 50th Birthday Party..

My thirt attempt at a fondant cake....still stressful but must say..I think it came out awsome...not bad for self taught...it really was quite impressive..there were 65 cupcakes around that cake...no body thought it was real..but it was..Happy Birthday Patti
